Not One but TWO Winners – Hear for the Holidays Competition!

by | 01/08/2021 | News, Patient Resources

This year has been difficult for everyone, and, although there have been spells of misery, the dark times have identified the sheer compassion and good nature of humankind. Through respecting our guidelines in place and wearing a mask in our clinic, we truly applaud you and want to say thank you for making our job so special.

To reward our patients for all their efforts, we gave you the chance to nominate someone special who you think is deserving of hearing care in our Hear for the Holidays competition, which ran throughout November. Ending on the last date of the month, the lucky winner will receive a complimentary hearing aid and access to our professional hearing care.

After reading your thoughtful words sent in, we were so touched by all of the stories behind your nominations, and we hoped to have spread some much-needed positivity. It’s truly highlighted how special each of you is! In case you missed it, we drew our winner by pulling names out of a basket and it was broadcasted on our Facebook.

And, finally… All About Hearing is happy to announce the winner as Father David Herrera!

Father David was invited to the clinic to receive a comprehensive hearing assessment and a hearing aid fitting, free of charge. And we were so excited to meet him!

Our Winner, Father David Herrera:

What stood out about David is that despite his hearing struggles, he is always helping others wherever he can.

As a Catholic priest, he counsels his parishioners daily, giving heartfelt advice and helping others in moments of crisis. Not only does he counsel, but Father David Herrera is also deeply involved in the Midland community and is constantly putting others’ needs above his own.

Suffering from hearing loss issues for over five years, David is always finding himself having to turn his head to hear others. Once fitted with the hearing aid, he was amazed at the difference it made, and it almost reduced him to tears!

We were so glad to help Father David Herrera and improve his quality of life for the better, allowing him to continue in his righteous path of helping others.

Our Second Winner, Amee:

As Father David Herrera only needed one hearing aid, we used the opportunity to help someone else in need.

Suffering from a hearing loss since she was a young child, Amee has unfortunately inherited it from her father’s side and has become unaware of the severity of her issues.

This became apparent when we fitted her with her new hearing aids, and, like many others, Amee was shocked to notice how she can now hear so clearly.

Amee’s daughter, Guilianna, also wears hearing aids and came along for the visit. She was just as excited as her mom about her new hearing aid! We were so glad to help Amee on her road to better hearing, allowing her to enjoy her life to the fullest and hear her family better.

If you’d like to take the first step toward better hearing, consider our comprehensive hearing assessments, where we follow an in-depth procedure looking into your overall hearing health.
