Today’s hearing aids are marvels of technology.
With proper care, these high-quality devices usually perform well.
That being said, should there can come a time when your hearing aids aren’t working correctly, you shouldn’t have to spend a fortune to fix them.
Since my own struggles with hearing loss led me to become a State Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist, I know what it’s like to look for hearing aid repairs that don’t break the bank.
These days my colleagues and I offer a budget-friendly hearing aid repair service for users like you and me.
Here’s an introduction to our clinic’s hearing aid repair service, along with an explanation of our rates.
A Hearing Aid Repair Service You Can Trust
We have the experience necessary to take care of most issues.
Everyone on our team is trained to troubleshoot hearing aid problems.
On a typical day, five devices come in for repair or maintenance. We’re able to work on devices from most manufacturers, including:
Our repair service is designed to put our patients’ needs first. We want our patients to get their devices back quickly.
As much as possible, we try to prevent our patients from waiting for parts to come in from the manufacturer.
That’s why we keep a wide array of hearing aid parts in stock from most major manufacturers.
Many people wait until their hearing aids aren’t working properly or at all to bring them in for service.
The best practice is to bring them to us for general maintenance and professional cleaning every 6 to 12 months.
Doing so improves their longevity and helps maintain sound quality.
Also, we have a guide that explains how to care for your devices at home between professional cleanings.
Hearing Aids Repairs that Don’t Clean Your Wallet
We try to do as many repairs as possible in-house to keep costs manageable for our patients.
Rates for repairs we complete in the office begin at $20 (that’s not a typo) and can go up to $170.
There are times that a hearing aid will have an issue that requires attention from the manufacturer.
When we have to send a device for repair that is out of warranty and less than 5 years old, the fee is $300.
If there is no warranty and the hearing aid is over 5 years old, the fee is $500.
Our Loaner Service Keeps You Connected
My colleagues and I don’t want our patients experiencing the challenges that come with going without hearing instruments.
Our office can loan hearing aids to patients while their devices are being repaired.
We keep a broad selection of hearing instruments on hand.
Although the loaner devices may not be the same as the ones you own, we’ll have devices in stock that are appropriate for your unique needs.
If you would like to book a hearing aid repair, simply complete the form on this page, and a member of our team will be in touch.
